the process of meiosis in plants ensures the production of reproductive cells with half the genetic information of the parent.
When plants reproduce s*xually, they use
meiosis to produce haploid cells that have half the genetic information of the parent (one of every chromosome). Eventually, the haploid cells produce eggs and man-fluid that combine to create a new, genetically unique diploid organism that has two of every chromosome.
