While taking the picture, its directly converted to a JPEG format with a set size. Nevertheless, you can follow the steps below if not converted;
Convert your passport photograph to a JPEG file
using Microsoft Windows
1. Scan or download the photograph to your
computer and save it in 'My Pictures'. Please
note that ACRO are unable to assist with the
transfer of your photograph from your device to
your computer. Please check your
manufacturer's instructions.
2. Open the 'My Pictures' folder and then open the
passport photograph you have just saved.
3. Right click the photograph - several options will
appear.
4. Choose the 'Open with' option and then choose
'Paint'.
5. Your photograph should then open in Paint.
6. Click 'File', then 'Save As'.
7. Type your file name e.g. John Smith.
8. In the 'Save as type' dropdown, select JPEG
(*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF), GIF (*.GIF) or TIFF
(*.TIF;*.TIFF).
9. Click the 'Save' button.
10. Your photograph should now be a jpeg file and
ready to upload.
