upward delivery:carbon(iv)oxide,ammonia,sulphur(iv)oxide,sulphur(vi)oxide
downward delivery:oxygen,hydrogen,nitrogen,helium
the thing is this gases lighter than air are collected by downward delivery nd gases heavier than air are collected by upward delivery

gases collected through upward delivery are 1.nitrogen 2. hydrogen 3.carbon monoxide 4.ammonia, then gases collected through downward delivery are 1. carbon dioxide 2. sulphur (iv) oxide 3.hydrogen chloride 4.chlorine

Nitrogen nd carbon(ii) or (iv) oxide,so3 or so2 re all collected by downward delivery, the re nver collected by upward delivery, cos dae re denser dan air,d oly three gas dat can b collected by upward delivery also knw as downward displacement of air,re ammonia, hydrogen,nd helium

Syzygy got it ryt pls,but others mixed it up.study wo and dnt gues pls ok

SO2 and CO2 are denser and so collected by downward delivery while H2 and NH3 are lighter and collected by upward delivery

Just know this:the heavier gas will always carry the lighter one and you can determine its weight by calculating its RMM.Heavy gases are always collected by upward displacement of air/downward delivery while light gases are collected by downward displacement of air/upward delivery.

Please I also need the answer to the above question. Anybody with the correct answer should please help with a solution. Thanks.

Upward dlivery s same as downward dsplacement wch includ: h,o2,n2,whl dwnward s same as upward dsplcment wch are NH3,SO2,HCL,CL
