In an experiment to determine the velocity of sound in air, using a resonance tube, a student observes that the water level was 34.5 cm below the open end of the tube when a loud sound was obtained with a tuning fork of frequency 256 Hz. His next position of resonance was measured as 99.7 cm is using the same tuning fork. What's the velocity of the sound as obtained from this experiment?
