Use the equation,
v²=u²−2gh
Here, v=0m/s, u= 20m/s, g=10m/s²(approx)
Substituting these values we get,
H= 20 m. So the ball will go upto 20m height.

The height it gets to before reaching the ground is:
V²=u²-2gh
But at maximum height v =0
0=u²-2gh
U²=2gh
H=u²/2g
H=400/(2*10)
H=20m
Time of flight is =
V=u-gt
V=20-10t but v=0
10t=20
T=2sec
