A waterfall is 630m high. What is the change in temperature of a quantity of water that falls from the top to the bottom of the waterfall? (Neglect heat losses to the surroundings, take g as 10 ms-2 and specific heat capacity of weather as 4200,J kg-1K-1 Please I need a detailed solution?

∆E= mc∆∅= mg(H – h), where:

∆E= change in energy,
m= mass of the water,
∆∅= change in temperature,
g= acceration due to gravity,
H= final height, and
h= initial height.

h= 650m
H= 0m
g= 10m/s²
c= 4200J/kg–K
∆∅= ?

c∆∅= g(H – h)

∆∅= (g/c)(H – h)= (10/4200)(0 – 650)= –650/420= – 1.55K
