To do that,
Substitue x=a 2/a-1 into x-3/x 1
(a2/a-1)- 3/(a 2/a-1)
= (a 2/a-1)-2

(a+2/a-1 -3)/a+2/a-1 +1
[a+2- 3(a-1)/a-1]/[a-2+1(a-1)/a-1]
=[(a+2-3a+3)/a-1]/[(a-2+1-1)/a-1]
=(5-2a/a-1)/(-2+a)/a-1
