Be yourself.

Get more involved in the things you love. ...

Spend more time with your family. ...

Don't be a bully.

Never be afraid to stand up for yourself. ...

Have more school pride. ...

Make this time about you, and not college. ...

Start off your freshman year right. Try your best inyour classes because it is much easier to maintain a high GPA when you get off to the right start. Class rank also becomes harder and harderto change after each quarter so don't fall behind early and spend your high school career trying to play catch-up.
I would tell them to join clubs, but do not join too many clubs just for the sake of being in them. Pick a few organizations and get really involved in them. It is still important to make strong friendships early in your freshman year of high school so that you can have people to go to for help. It is important to try your best in your classes, but do not get caught up in every individual point and do not let an occasional B ruin your day. My biggest recommendation is to not join organizations that you do not like. It will end up with you wasting your time and not liking your high school experience.
