The soil is heated over water bath or in an oven maintained at 100°C. After half an hour, the crucible and its contents are removed and cooled in a desiccator and re-weighed. Heating, cooling and weighing procedures is repeated until a constant mass is obtained. Using the data obtained, calculate the percentage of water in the soil sample.?
