Students of Taraba state College of Education Zing, on Wednesday, April 6, during a stage play in commemoration of the institution's matriculation, campaigned against immorality, cultism, and other social vices amongst students in the higher institutions of learning in the country.

The campaign leader, Mr. Charles Ignatius, a 200 level student from the English department disclosed that the idea became necessary as most Nigerian students in the higher institutions have forgotten the purpose they were admitted.

He said the campaign was to discourage Nigerian students from social vices like cultism, drug abuse, indecent dressings, and many others that normally result in a societal nuisance.

Addressing the over 1300 matriculating students for the 2021/2022 Academic session, Dr. Mike Dio Jen, provost of the college who was represented by the deputy provost, Dr. Phillip Nuhu disclosed that the institution has zero tolerance for social vices and advised the matriculating students to stay clear from the act of gangsterism that may lead them to trouble.

The provost further commended Taraba state government through the ministry of tertiary education for her efforts to ensure the institution reaches the desired standard of Academic performance.
