The Management of the University of Benin has issued a memorandum to all staff from CONTISS 09 and above to resume duty with effect from Monday 5th October 2020.

This is in line with the Federal Government Directive to Tertiary Institutions on the need to put in place the necessary COVID 19 safety protocols for a phased resumption.

According to the Memorandum, the resumption is to help prepare the ground for a smooth re-opening of the University.

The University further added that all COVID-19 safety protocols and guidelines stipulated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) such as the use of face masks and hand sanitizers will be strictly observed. 

Also, staff whose responsibilities are considered essential, irrespective of their grade level are to report to duty when invited by their departmental/unit heads.
