The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) in collaboration with Join Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) invite qualified candidates for admission into one-year Basic Studies Programme of UNIUYO in the courses listed below for the 2026/2027 academic year. This programme prepares students for the examinations conducted by JUPEB. Students who pass the examination at the end of the programme and meet the admission requirements for the chosen course are admitted directly into second-year programmes of the University of Uyo during their choice through Direct Entry.
However, students who pass the examination but fail to meet the admission requirement for the course will be admitted into other available courses.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are required to have a minimum of five (5) credit passes including English Language; Mathematics and any three (3) other subjects relevant to their course of study obtained at not more than two (2) sittings at the SSCE/WASCE, GCE O/L, NECO and NABTEB.
Admission into the programme is usually through a University Screening Test. Please note that it will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
At the end of the programme, successful candidates will be admitted into 200 level in various degree programmes in University of Uyo, Uyo or in any Nigerian University through the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) provided the candidate satisfy the admission criteria for
the desired programme.
NOTE: JAMB Score is not required for admission into this programme. Candidates for the 2025 UTME can also apply as there will be no supplementary application for this programme.
PRE-DEGREE PROGRAMME
The University of Uyo also invites qualified candidates for admission into one-year pre-Degree programme of the University of Uyo for 2026/2027 academic year.
This programme prepared candidates for the 2026/2027 JAMB Examination. Successful candidates that meet the JAMB cut off points will be admitted into one-year programmes of the University of Uyo (if the candidate has chosen University of Uyo) in the Faculty of Agriculture, Allied Health
Sciences, Biological Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Computing, Dentistry, Science Education, Engineering, Pharmacy and Physical Science.
However, candidates who fail to meet the JAMB cut-off points but scored up to 160 and pass our internal examinations will be admitted into year-one under the listed faculties.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission into the Pre-Degree programme will be through a Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Candidates must possess credit passes in at least five (5) ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Agricultural Science is accepted in place of Biology for Agricultural Education and Agriculture Candidates only), at no more than two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO), GCE or NABTEB)
Candidates seeking admission into programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture should possess at least five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in NECO, WASC/GCE including Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and any one of Economics, Geography
or Physics. At least a pass in Physics is acceptable. Candidates for admission into Agricultural Education must possess five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit
passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science), Mathematics and any other subject.
Candidates for admission into Home Economics Education should possess five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subject.
NOTE: JAMB Score is not required for admission into this programme.
MAJOR COURSE REQUIREMENTS
All successful candidates will be required to register for and take the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have a total score of not less than One Hundred and Eighty (180) in the relevant UTME subject combination.

Make payment online or at any bank using the RRR and Return to the portal to confirm payment
3. Complete Application
Go to Application Form
Click Start New Application, Fill in the required details
Upload required PDF documents and submit your application
4. Print Screening Slip
Note:
(i) The same passport photograph used for the online registration will be used during the
Screening Exercise and for registration after the offer of provisional admission
(ii) No complaints of wrong Biodata or blank photographs will be entertained after
submission
(iii) Candidates who upload wrong biodata will automatically be disqualified.
(vii) The same procedure is used for payment of all fees after admission.
