The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, has announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 admission exercise from 21st August to 4th September 2025.

The programme is an uninterrupted ND/HND in General Nursing Sciences, leading to the award of a Higher National Diploma, approved by the Nursing Council of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The full programme runs for four years, consisting of eight semesters.

Admission is open only to candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 150. Interested applicants are advised to visit the JAMB portal to apply via change of institution and course of study, ensuring their O’Level and JAMB results are properly uploaded and accepted.

In addition to the UTME requirement, candidates must possess five O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (WAEC/NECO) in not more than two sittings. NABTEB and NBATS equivalent subjects are also accepted.

The minimum age for applicants is 16 years and the maximum age is 24 years.
