A 22-year-old final year Accounting student of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Abba Ahmed almost took his life after Hanan Buhari, the daughter of president Muhammadu Buhari, wedding photos were posted online.
It was gathered that, Abba had vow to take his life, in a now deleted Facebook post due to his inability to get Hanan to marry him.
According to Abba, he had the intention of marrying the president's daughter, and had publicly proclaimed his love for Hanan on Facebook and Instagram, but was shocked to hear about Hanan getting married to another man on social media.
He was prevented from committing suicide by the Kano state police command, after a top police officer counselled him through a phone call.
