This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into Sokoto State University, Sokoto through the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and Direct Entry (D.E) and chose the Institution as their FIRST CHOICE, with a minimum score of 150 in the UTME that the online screening exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session commences on Monday 11th August, and ends on Friday 10th October, 2025.

D.E candidates are required to upload a scanned copy of their relevant A'level results (Diploma, NCE, IJMB, etc) on the University portal.

Furthermore, both UTME and DE candidates must have uploaded their O/level results with a minimum of five credit passes (including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings) on JAMB's CAPS at https://jamb.caps.gov.ng or visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre.

SCREENING PROCEDURE
Step 1:Visit the University Portal at https://portal.ssu.edu.ng

Step 2:Enter your JAMB Registration Number as username and password

Step 3:Click on the 'Update Data' link to update your phone number and email address.

Step 4:Generate and print your screening payment invoice of the sum of two thousand naira (N2,000) only. (transaction charges exclusive) containing Monnify Payment Reference Number. Thereafter proceed to any commercial bank of your invoice to make the payment or click on the 'Pay Now' link to pay using any of the instant Monnify Payment channels.

Step 5:After payment, log in to your account again and update your biodata, academic records and any other required information.

Step 6:Print your acknowledgment slip and payment receipt for record purposes.

Note: The screening is strictly online and no Post-UTME examination will be required of applicants at anytime. Only candidates who complete the screening process will be considered for admission.
