The senior staff association of Nigerian universities (SSANU) and the none academic staff union (NASU) have embarked on an indefinite strike action starting today Friday, February 5, pending when their issues with the federal government are resolved. 
 

The union had written its branches to hold a joint general meeting on Friday to know the way forward, but directed that the industrial action begins from 12 midnight on Friday, pending any contrary resolution by the branches.
