Engr. Mufutau Olayemi, a lecturer at D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori in Ogun State, has been killed by gunmen alleged to be assassins.

This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who said the command is treating it as a case of “assassination”. 

The deceased lecturer was the HOD of Department of Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic, and was killed after he was trailed to the Itori area of the State by gunmen in an unmarked vehicle and shot dead at close range in the early hours of Wednesday, November 18.
