Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, a scholar must:

  • Hail from the Niger Delta Region.
  • Have achieved a First Class Degree or Second Class Upper Division.
  • Not be over 40 years of age.

Application Timeline & Method

Opening Date: March 23, 2026

Application Deadline: April 19, 2026

How to Apply: Applicants are required to submit their applications online through the Commission's website: https://scholarship.nddc.gov.ng/login

Required Documents for Upload

  1. Recent passport photograph.
  2. Local Government Identification Letter.
  3. Post Graduate Admission letter from a recognized overseas university.
  4. Relevant degrees from recognized universities.
  5. NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on WASSCE/NECO results and undergraduate degree classification. Shortlisted candidates will be required to take part in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in Rivers State. A minimum score of 70% is required to proceed to the next stage.
