The immediate past vice-chancellor of the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike Prof. Francis Ogbonnaya Otunta has died in a car accident.

According to reports, he died on Monday, 29 March in a car accident on his way to Enugu from his hometown.

Until his demise, Francis Ogbonnaya Otunta was a Nigerian academia and the fifth vice-chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike following his appointment in December 2015 to February 2021.
