Dr. Evelyn Ijeoma Orji on Saturday, March 27, 2021, emerged as the overall best University of Calabar, (UNICAL) Doctorate Graduand with a CGPA of 5/5.

According to reports, Orji is the first to achieve such a feat in the history of the institution.

She graduated from Educational Foundation and bagged a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, all in Faculty of Education, UNICAL.

The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Florence Obi, while giving a breakdown of the graduands stated that 22 students had First Class, 1,073 had Second Class Upper, while 2,763 had Second Class Lower and 26 had Pass degrees.

She further said that the University also graduated 154 Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Students, 187 Masters Degree students, and 56 Ph.D.
