The management of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) wishes to state that as the university community is aware, a national protest is being planned to take place in our country starting on 1st August, 2024. While we respect the right to peaceful assembly and free speech, we urge all staff and students to exercise extreme caution and prioritize their safety during this time.
As we prepare for the planned protest we want to assure all staff and students that your safety and well-being is our top priority.
We have taken measures to ensure the security and protection of everyone on campus, including enhanced security presence, increased surveillance, and collaboration with security agencies.
Please avoid areas where the demonstration is taking plase and follow all instructions from security and goverrumental agencies. Be aware of from any potentially volatile situations and keep our surroundings and keep a safe distance.
We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for learning, teaching, and research. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you accordingly.
