A Corps member at the Dakingari orientation camp, Kebbi state mysteriously slumped and died at the campground on Friday evening, March 25.

The deceased named Musa Momoh Tunde, a Public Administration graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, was watching one of the inter-platoon football matches when he suddenly slumped.

NYSC Director-General, in his condolence message read by Bar. Ahmed Tijjani described the deceased as a young patriotic Nigerian who died while in active service to the nation, saying he died as a dignified young man who was ready and eager to contribute his quota to national development and will be remembered as a selfless and highly patriotic Nigerian.

The message advised Tunde's family to accept his death as an act of God noting that death is inevitable and can come when no one expects it.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the deceased elder brother, Mr. Yahaya Mohammed, said they are comforted by the fact that the Tunde led a good life and died honorably and in active service to the nation.
