The number of registered candidates for the 2024 UTME in each of the states across the country has been made available. Based on the statistics obtained from JAMB on the 2024 UTME registration data, Oyo State has the highest number of registered candidates followed by Ogun State. Both had 123,636 and 114,435 registered candidates respectively.
The statistics equally showed that Zamfara and FCT Abuja have the least number of registered candidates with 9,473 and 8,020 respectively.
The statistics further revealed that 980,419 male candidates were registered while 1,005,223 female candidates applied to write the 2024 UTME. 2,026 People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) candidates were also registered for free bringing the total number of registered candidates to 1,985,642.
