JAMB has acknowledged that there has been a large number of unusual complaints following the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, which were made public last Friday.

In response, JAMB has decided to begin its annual system review earlier than usual. This review, which is usually done months after the exams, examines closely every stage of the UTME process: registration, the exam itself, and the release of results.

During the exam period, JAMB stated that it will ensures all candidates are given a fair chance to sit for the test. If any technical problems occur, affected candidates are promptly rescheduled to retake the exam.

According to the Board,  most of the current complaints seem to be coming from a few specific states. These are now being carefully investigated to find out if technical issues were involved. To ensure accuracy, JAMB has brought in several experts, including members of the Computer Professionals Association of Nigeria, chief external examiners (who are heads of universities), educational assessment experts from across Africa, and vice chancellors from various institutions.

JAMB has promised that if any system errors are confirmed, it will take quick and appropriate action to fix them just as it does when technical problems occur during the exams.
