The International E-Waste Day (IEWD) 2025 presents an exciting opportunity for young, passionate minds in Nigeria to voice their ideas on shaping a better, more sustainable future. As part of the global celebration of IEWD, the E-Waste Producer Responsibility Organisation of Nigeria (EPRON), in collaboration with its partner organizations, is inviting entries for the IEWD 2025 Essay Competition.
This initiative is open to all secondary school students across Nigeria, including both Junior Secondary School (JSS1–3) and Senior Secondary School (SSS1–3) levels. The competition is designed to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and awareness about electronic waste and environmental sustainability among young Nigerians.

Essay Requirements
Participants are required to submit an original essay that reflects their personal understanding and insight. All submissions must meet the following criteria:
- The essay must be written in English.
- Only one entry is allowed per student.
- The essay should not exceed 750 words in length.
This is an excellent platform for students to showcase their writing skills while contributing to an important global conversation around responsible e-waste management.
Prizes to Be Won
