The Vice-Chancellor while congratulating those who came out with flying colours, urged students who are among the 170 students that have completed their academic programs to proceed for their clearance.

He noted that the University has always been able to release results as and when due by following religiously its academic calendar as well as ensuring that examination results are produced and approved by the Senate, 2 weeks after every examination.

The VC stated that with the release of the results, 50 students of its law faculty who have completed their academic programs can now proceed to the law school while graduates of other faculties will be going for their Youth Service.

He stated that as has been the tradition of the University, the overall best-graduating student will be receiving some handsome cash rewards in addition to other prizes. He added that there will also be departmental prizes of a minimum of N50,000 as well as program prizes for those who recorded outstanding performances in the respective programs.

While speaking on the mentorship program of the University, he stressed that no student will remain anonymous in the university as they are assigned to respective members of staff to ensure close monitoring to bring out the best in the students.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the University is currently working to optimize its online and hybrid learning, with the installation of 4 smart boxes where such training and lectures can be held without the usual network glitches.

Rev Fr Prof Christian Anieke announced that the next academic year 2023/2024 commences on the 3rd of October 2023 and that lectures were expected to commence a day after resumption. He encouraged those who want to join the university to apply without delay as late registration may affect one's academic performance.
