The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has officially announced its 38th Convocation Lecture, inviting members of the university community and the general public to participate in the prestigious academic event.
The event is being hosted under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Nnenna N. Oti, JP, RSS, FSSCN, who extended a cordial invitation to stakeholders, students, staff, alumni, and distinguished guests.

The convocation lecture is themed:
“Nigerian Universities of Technology Must Lead in the Fourth Industrial Revolution or Jeopardize the Nation's Future.”
The lecture will be delivered by the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodinma, CON, GSSRS.
The university described the lecture as a significant intellectual engagement aimed at addressing the critical role of technology-driven institutions in advancing Nigeria’s future in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Also expected at the event are top government officials, academics, industry leaders, researchers, students, and invited guests from across the country.
The Chairman of the University Lecture Series Committee and University Orator, Prof. B. O. Esonu, RAS, FASN, FNSAP, FCASN, will coordinate the event.
