The management of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has debunked rumours of alleged recruitment by the institution on some social media platforms.

FUTA's Deputy Director, Corporate Communications and Protocol, Mr Adegbenro Adebanjo cautioned members of the public against entering any form of negotiation with anybody on the purported recruitment.

The statement read in part, "For the avoidance of doubt, FUTA has not advertised any vacancy and members of the public are advised to discountenance the bogus recruitment exercise and not to enter into any negotiation with anybody for the non-existing vacancy.

"FUTA, as a responsible corporate entity, carries out such exercise through established channels of national newspapers and it's official social media platforms and website."
