The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State, Nigeria, has announced its 14th Inaugural Lecture scheduled to hold on Friday, 29th May, 2026.
The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Duke Okoro, a Professor of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, with the theme: “Decoding Pollution in a Petroleum Nation: The Role of Environmental Analytical Chemistry in Safeguarding Nigeria’s Environment.”

The event will take place at the New 500-Capacity Auditorium by 10:00 AM, while guests are expected to be seated by 9:30 AM.
The inaugural lecture will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor of FUPRE, Prof. Ezekiel O. Agbalagba FCAI, who extended the invitation on behalf of the Senate, staff, and students of the institution.
According to the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) E. Jane Omoyine, the university community and the general public are invited to attend the academic event.
