The Vice-Chancellor, of the Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has approved the renewal of some appointments. 

Those who have their appointments renewed by the vice-chancellor include Prof. Halima Idris Amali, the Director Centre for Gender and Development Studies, Prof. Paul Haaga, Dr Tijani Ahmed Ajayi from the Dept. of Accounting as the Deputy Director, Centre for Security Studies, Dr A’isha Bello Ademo of the Physics Dept. as the Dep. Director, Centre for Gender and Development Studies. 

Also renewed are the appointments of Head of the Department of Philosophy, Prof. Paul Haaga, Prof. Ibrahim Ogiri Hassan, Head of the Department of Building, Dr Idris Muhammad Muhammad, Ag. Head of the Department of Arabic, Dr Loveday Chigozie Onyezonwu, Ag. Head of the Department of Christian Religious Studies, Dr Okwudili Walter, Ag. Head of the Department of Economics, and Dr Mansur Aliyu Ramalan, Ag. Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. 

Others are Dr Lawal Danjuma Tyem, Ag. Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Dr Chike Chinazom Obeagu, Ag. Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr Godwin Obande, Coordinator, Microbiology, and Dr Akeremale Collins, Ag. Head of Data Management Unit.

According to a statement issued by the Registrar of the University, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, the appointments of Prof. Hamila Amali, Prof. Paul Haaga and Prof. Ibrahim Ogiri Hassan would subsist for two years while those of other appointees would last for one year each.

All appointments take effect from Monday, 15th July, 2024.
