The attention of the authorities of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has been drawn to a malicious publications now making the rounds that letters of employment and admission from the University can be obtained through payment of some amounts of cash. 

It is, also, claimed by sponsors of the fraudulent publications that contracts can be obtained through the same fraudulent means in the University.

These claims are false, wicked and malicious.

The claims are nothing but tissues of lies spread with the intention to defraud unsuspecting members of the public and do harm to the hard earned reputations of some persons in the University.

It should be noted that at no time were employment, admission and contract letters offered for cash in the University, under the headship of the current Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, whose aversion for corruption and administrative malfeasance is well known. 

Contracts are gained, employment and admission into the Federal University of Lafia are granted, like it is done in all reputable sister institutions, with respect to the principles of merit, competence and qualifications.

Therefore, while the University, on its part, is working together with the security agencies to identify those perpetrating the fraud, the general public is called to discountenance any (false) news of ongoing sales of contracts, employment and admission in the University.

Those who allow themselves to fall prey to the antics of some desperate people who falsely promise to offer letters of offer for contracts, employment or admission into the University do so at their own risk.
