The attention of the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Gusau (FUGUS), Prof. Mu'azu Abubakar Gusau has been drawn to a fake Linkedin account opened in his name by fraudsters with the intention of extorting unsuspecting members of the public.
General public are hereby informed that the Vice-Chancellor is not having any LinkedIn account, not to talk of using it to send requests and award procurements or supplies in the name of the University.
In view of the above, therefore, the Vice-Chancellor wishes to caution the University Community and the general public to disregard any message from the said account so that they avoid falling victims of the criminals. Furthermore, whoever engages him/herself in whatever deal with the LinkedIn account handlers, does so at his/her own risk.
