Federal College of Education Gombe Unveils 2025/2026 Academic Calendar

The Federal College of Education (Technical) Gombe, in affiliation with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.

The first semester is scheduled to commence on Sunday, 11th January 2026, with student resumption.

According to the calendar released by the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, led by Dr. Tunde Gabriel, key activities for the semester are as follows:

· Registration: 12th - 31st January 2026 (2 Weeks)

· Lectures: 18th January – 25th April 2026 (15 Weeks)

· Teaching Practice for 400L (ATBU): 18th January – 18th April 2026 (14 Weeks)

· Examinations: 27th April - 16th May 2026 (3 Weeks)

· First Semester Break: 18th May - 7th June 2026 (3 Weeks)

· SWEP for 300L (ATBU): 18th May - 7th June 2026 (3 Weeks)

The calendar also outlines post-examination processes, including the marking of scripts, moderation, and compilation of results, culminating in School Board of Studies meetings from 9th to 13th June 2026.

A date for the crucial Senate meeting is marked as "To Be Determined" (TBD).

Students are advised to take note of the dates and prepare for a timely resumption and registration process for the new academic session.
