Sequel to the presentation of Memo to the College management and Committee of Deans by the Head, Exams, Certificates and Record Unit, Mal. Umar Mb Dahiru, in collaboration with the College CBT Centre, the Provost of Federal College of Education, Zaria, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe has approved the Commencement of CBT exams for NCE 1 students.

The Commencement of the CBT exams will solve a whole lots of issues and will also bring an end to so many problems bedeviling the conduct of exams in the College.

Some of the problems the CBT exams will solve, among others, include the;

1. Delay in marking scripts; with CBT students will see their result immediately. 
2. Delay associated with submission of results to the Academic Board. 
3. Lost of answer booklets.
4. It will save costs.
5. It will put a stop on the problem of non payment of school fees by students, because students cannot write CBT exams if he/she did not pay school fees. 
5. It will stop extortion.
6. It will reduce harassment. 
7. It will eliminate exams malpractice. 
8. It will solve the problems of congestion in exam halls. 
9. It will solve the problem of clashes during exams.
10. It will solve the problem of exams leakage in the College.
11. It will enhance efficiency and accuracy compared to traditional pen and paper exams.
12. It will improve test security, by providing secured test delivery through encrypted and password-protected platforms.
13. It will offer enhanced flexibility and assesibility to students. 
14. CBT exams provides instant feedback and analysis. 
15. It saves cost and ensures sustainability. Etc.

All NCE 1 students are encouraged to prepare themselves, study hard and be ready for the CBT exams.
