According to the notice, scammers are impersonating FAMSSA officials and contacting students by phone under the pretense of inviting them to an “official meeting.” During these calls, the fraudsters request WhatsApp verification codes from students, which can be used to gain unauthorized access to their accounts.

The association emphasized that FAMSSA officials will never request WhatsApp verification codes, one-time passwords (OTP), or personal account passwords under any circumstances.

Students have been advised to rely only on officially recognized communication channels for authentic information regarding meetings and announcements. All legitimate updates, the association noted, are communicated through verified departmental platforms and official student groups.

The Directorate urged students to remain vigilant, warning that sharing verification codes could result in immediate compromise of their WhatsApp accounts.

Students who receive suspicious calls or messages are strongly advised not to engage with the callers. Instead, they should end the conversation immediately and report the incident to their departmental representatives.
