Benue State Univeristy was shutdown in the early hours of today by students of the institution. All academic  activities in the University have been on standstill.

According to information, the students are currently protesting against the "no school fees, no exam policy" that was embarked on by the school management. 

They are also protesting against the payment delay of staff salaries. Meanwhile, the students were seen carrying various playcards at the entrance of the school with series of request written on them, while some were written "Education is our right", others stated, " give us a future" and some says "pay salary and save a soul".
