The management of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has announced its 115th Inaugural Lecture, scheduled to hold on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the 750 Lecture Theatre A, Site I, Abraka.
The lecture, titled “Harmony in Crises: Green Engineering Solutions for a Fragile World,” will be delivered by Engr. Professor Hilary Ijeoma Owamah, a distinguished Professor of Civil Engineering in the university. Professor Owamah holds degrees from FUTO (B.Eng.), UNIPORT (M.Eng.), and UNIBEN (Ph.D.), and is widely recognized for his expertise in sustainable and environmental engineering.

The event will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel O. Asagba, who will preside over the session on behalf of the University Governing Council, Senate, and Management.
According to the announcement, guests are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m., as the lecture will commence promptly at 11:00 a.m.
The inaugural lecture series at DELSU continues to serve as a platform for showcasing the intellectual contributions of its academic staff and addressing key global and societal issues through scholarly discourse.
