The Vice Chancellor, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba has graciously approved a Christmas break for all Members of the University except those on essential services from Monday, December 23, 2024 to Friday January 3rd 2025. This is to enable all to effectively participate in the Yuletide celebrations.

The University would resume its normal activities on Monday, January 6, 2025.

On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate and Management, the Vice Chancellor is sending warm wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year to all staff, students and other members of the University community.

COMMENCEMENT OF Ph.D. IN ANAESTHESIA POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL PROGRAMME IN

This is to inform the University community and the general Public that the Doctor of Philosophy programmes in Anaesthesia have been duly approved by the University Senate. The Ph.D. in Anaesthesia programme will commence in the 2024/2025 academic session with the following areas of sub-specializations:

3. Critical care medicine

4. Regional Anaesthesia

5. Neuro-anaesthesia

6. Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia

7. Orthopedic Anaesthetic
