The College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia, Nasarawa State has officially opened applications for its Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) Science and Technology programme and various Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

​Eligibility

​Candidates must meet the following academic requirements to qualify for admission:

​For Pre-ND (Science and Technology): Candidates must possess four (4) subjects at credit level from not more than two sittings. This must include Mathematics and English Language, plus any two subjects relevant to the proposed field of study chosen from: Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, Home Management, Geography, or Economics. Qualifications can be from the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents.

​For Pre-HND Requirements: Candidates must fulfill the relevant entry qualifications and are strictly required to visit a JAMB Office for registration on the CAPS Platform (JAMB registration charges apply).

​How to Apply

​The application guidelines differ depending on the chosen entry level:

​Pre-ND Application: Applicants must log into the College website at www.coastlafia.edu.ng to complete their registration.

​Pre-HND Application: Candidates are to apply through the COAST Lafia Consult.

​Application Fees: The application processing fee is N6,000.00 only for these programmes.

​Portal Opening Date: The application portal for Pre-ND and Pre-HND candidates opens on the 8th June, 2026.

​Closing Date: Online registration closes on the 30th September, 2026.
