A female student of the Benue State University, (BSU) identified as Jessica Agee has been killed by unknown gunmen on Monday night, February 15.

The deceased cousin, Phillips Guda, shared the report via Facebook on Tuesday morning, February 16, adding that the student was shot dead by the assailants at her Gyado villa residence in Makurdi.

The spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene, has confirmed the murder of the student, stating that an investigation was ongoing.

Meanwhile, friends and classmates have taken to Facebook to pay their tributes.
