In a firm stance to protect academic integrity, Bayero University Kano (BUK) has expelled 60 students from various departments and faculties for their alleged involvement in examination misconduct.

The decision was reached during the university's 431st Senate meeting held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The Senate acted on detailed recommendations from the relevant academic and disciplinary committees, which investigated the cases thoroughly.

This move underscores BUK's zero-tolerance policy toward any behavior that compromises the credibility of its academic processes and the value of degrees awarded by the institution.
