A lecturer with the Auchi Polytechnic, in Edo state named Dr. Shola Eshiobo, was found dead in his office on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

The lifeless body of the lecturer who also doubles as the Dean of Students’ Affairs of the polytechnic was discovered after his wife raised alarm when he did not return home from the office on Saturday. 

According to a family source, the deceased left the house on the afternoon of Saturday, 17 April to the office to attend to official matters. When he did not return home, the wife raised an alarm and a search team found his vehicle parked at the car lot, and his lifeless body in his office.

The source added that no foul play was suspected, but an autopsy would be carried out to ascertain the cause of the death.

His body has since been deposited at the mortuary.
