This is to inform all graduands, Alumni and stakeholders that the activities for the eighth convocation ceremonies of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (formerly Anambra State University) for the conferment of honorary degrees, award of Higher degrees, Bachelor degrees, Diplomas and prizes to the 2015/2016 graduands have been scheduled as follows:

i. Thursday, April 6, 2017: Convocation Lectures

Venue: University Auditorium, Igbariam Campus

Time: 12.00 noon

ii. Thursday, April 7, 2017: Conferment of honorary degrees, award of Higher degrees, First degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas to full time 2015/2016 graduands and 2014/2015 graduands of the Part-time/Weekend programme

Venue: Convocation Arena, Igbariam Campus

Time: 10.00 noon

His Excellency, Chief, Dr. Willie Obiano, the executive Governor of Anambra State and Visitor to the university will be the Special Guest of Honour.

Hiring of Convocation Gowns

Graduands are expected to collect their convocation gowns at their respective Faculties on payment of the sum of six thousand naira (N6000). This amount covers the cost for hiring of gowns, alumni fees and purchase of scrolls and order of proceedings. Issuance of gowns will commence on Monday April 3, 2017 in the respective Faculty offices in Uli and Igbariam campuses. The hired gowns must be returned in good condition soon after the ceremonies, but not later than one week thereafter. Late return of gowns/caps attracts a penalty.
