Professor Muhammad Taofeek Olalekan Ibrahim has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of the Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, Kwara State.
This was made known by the institution's acting Director of Information, Dr Lateef Oladimeji, and was confirmed at the 17th meeting of the council.
The 52-year old new vice-chancellor is a Professor of Community Medicine. Until his appointment, he was a lecturer at Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto. He is a fellow of West African College of Physicians, FWACP(Community Health).
The new vice chancellor succeeds Professor Sulyman Abdulkareem, whose five year tenure expired last week.
