Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.

First Semester
Fresh students are expected to resume between Monday, September 22nd and Friday, September 26th, 2025, depending on their college. Course registration for fresh students runs from October 6th to October 17th, 2025, while lectures begin on Monday, September 29th, 2025. Returning students resume on Monday, September 29th, 2025, with lectures starting on October 6th, 2025.

Convocation holds on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, while the Christmas break runs from Wednesday, December 17th, 2025 to Monday, January 5th, 2026. First semester examinations are scheduled for Monday, January 26th to Friday, February 13th, 2026.

Second Semester
The second semester kicks off on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, with Eid-el-Fitr break tentatively scheduled for March 20th – 21st, 2026. Lectures will end on Friday, May 23rd, 2026, and the Easter break runs from April 3rd – 6th, 2026.

Final year students will commence their second semester examinations from June 1st – 5th, 2026, while other students take theirs from June 8th – 19th, 2026. The academic session officially closes on Friday, July 31st, 2026.

ABUAD has confirmed that the new session (2026/2027) will begin on Monday, September 21st, 2026.
