The management of the College of Nursing Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital (AE-FUTHA), Abakaliki, has announced the commencement of admission into its Nursing Council-approved Post Basic Nursing Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to the institution, applications are currently ongoing for the following one-year programmes:

• Accident and Emergency Nursing
• Critical Care Nursing
• Nephrology Nursing
• Orthopedic Nursing

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates applying for the programmes must:

• Possess five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO or GCE in not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
• Be qualified nurses duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Possess a current practising licence.

Application Fee

The application fee is Twenty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Naira (₦25,200).

How to Apply

1. Visit the College official admission portal at http://cons-admission.aefutha.edu.ng to create an account and begin the application process.
2. After account creation, log in to the admission portal using the username and password created to generate Remita RRR and make payment.
3. After payment, candidates are to log in again to confirm payment and complete the application process.
4. Successful applicants are expected to print their examination slip containing details of the examination date, venue and other relevant information.
