The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Students' Representative Council (SRC) has officially invited all faculties to participate in the upcoming Ramadan Cup Tournament, scheduled to kick off on 26th February 2026.

According to a statement from the Office of the Director of Sports, the tournament aims to scout and select outstanding football talents across the university who will go on to represent the institution at the forthcoming NUGA Games.

Faculties interested in participating are required to pay a registration fee of ₦15,000. Each team must register a total of 23 individuals, comprising 22 players and one coach. The deadline for registration is set for 23rd February 2026.

As part of the registration process, all players are to submit their bio-data and passport photographs. The council noted that licenses will be issued to all registered players following the validation of their details.

The letter, signed by Kabiru Hussaini, Director of Sports II, ABUSRC, urges all faculties to cooperate and participate actively to ensure the success of the tournament.
