Within the last 48hours, rumour had it that the management of the university is planning or has concluded plans to enforce a compulsory facemask for an alleged cost of #400 on all students without which students can't sit for test or exams.

I hereby bring it to your notice that the allegation has no iota of truth in it and is totally false.

I made it a point of responsibility to reach out to the Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Student and they confirmed that they are not aware of any plans of such.

However, it is compulsory that while on-campus students are expected to be on a facemask to attend classes without which you won't be allowed to sit for tests or exams.

In Conclusion, I enjoin all students to reach out to my office or any member of the SUG and not any unconfirmed source to confirm reports bothering on resumption or other related matters before making hasty conclusions or castigating any "body" unduly.
