ABU 43rd Convocation Ceremony holds Friday 26th - Saturday 27th January, 2024

This is to inform members of the University community that the 43rd Convocation Ceremony of Ahmadu Bello University will hold from 26-27 January, 2024.

Accordingly, the Pre-Convocation Lecture will take place at 4pm at Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, ABU Zaria on Friday, 26 January, 2024. The lecture, entitled "This is your Time: Set Forth in Confidence and with Haste", is to be delivered by His Excellency, Donald Duke, CON, former Governor of Cross River State.

Dr. Suleyman Ndanusa, OON, former Chairman/Director-General, Securities and Exchange Commission, will chair the occasion.

Both Duke and Ndanusa are alumni of Ahmadu Bello University. The award of Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, and Honorary Degrees will hold at 10:00am at Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, ABU, Zaria on Saturday, 27th January, 2024.

The Visitor to Ahmadu Bello University, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion. His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, will be the Chief Host, while His Highness, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, the Emir of Zazzau, will be the Royal Father of the Day.

To this end, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, invites all graduands, parents, guardians, and members of the public to the Convocation Ceremony. Graduands are hereby enjoined to go to their respective faculties for collection of academic gowns which will begin on Monday, 22 January, 2024 at faculty offices.
