The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) are offered to full-time master’s and PhD students to recognize and support academic excellence. The fellowships are offered to students who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment.

Eligibility:

Be admitted to a full-time Master’s or PhD program at the University of Manitoba.
Achieve a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 (departments may set higher).
Show strong research potential and academic excellence.
Maintain full-time registration and satisfactory program progress.
Not hold another award of equal or greater value during the fellowship period.

Value:

Master’s Students: $20,000/year for 12 or 24 months (maximum $40,000).
PhD Students: $25,000/year for up to 48 months (maximum $100,000).
Support may be renewable depending on program stage and progress.
